Submission policy

How submitted files are processed, stored and shared.

Data processing

Files submitted to this analyzer are sent over HTTPS to the Jarscanner scanning service and analyzed strictly as data. Code inside an archive is never executed. Aggregate counters covering scans, verdicts and detected families are stored.

Website JAR submissions, including JARs fetched from a download link, are eligible for forwarding after a successful scan. The original JAR, filename, SHA-256 hash, verdict and detected families may be sent to the server for security research and sample collection. Submitting a JAR means you agree to that processing and third-party transfer.

For JAR files the browser may send the file's SHA-1 hash to Modrinth to identify a published version. The JAR itself is not sent to Modrinth.

User responsibility

You agree not to upload files that contain illegal content, explicit material, or unauthorized proprietary software. You bear full responsibility for the files you analyze.

Accuracy disclaimer

This tool is provided "as is". Detection is based on static signatures and behavioural analysis and may produce false positives or miss sophisticated obfuscated malware. A clean verdict is not a guarantee that a file is safe.
